LiveHealth Online: Ascend’s virtual health benefit

We told you about this program last year but for those who don’t know or need a refresher, here’s what LiveHealth Online can do for you.
LiveHealth Online gets our drivers in immediate contact with board-certified doctors 24/7. If you’re enjoying time at home with your family or hundreds of miles away on the road, LiveHealth Online easily and quickly connects you to the help you need – all while costing less than a trip to urgent care.

Q: How do I sign up for LiveHealth Online?
A: Quality connections to health care professionals are only a few clicks away! Visit the LiveHealth Online website or download the free mobile app to sign up.
Q: What technology do I need?
A: Use your smartphone, tablet, or computer (with webcam) to access LifeHealth Online.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: There’s zero cost to sign up for LiveHealth Online. For Ascend employees enrolled in Ascend’s medical plan there’s a $10 copay. If you are not enrolled in Ascend’s medical plan, there is typically a $59 charge per visit.
Q: What kinds of things can I make an appointment for?
A: LiveHealth Online can be used when your own doctor isn’t available. The health care professionals at LiveHealth Online can see patients for health concerns ranging from the flu to allergies and colds and even behavioral health. At your appointment, a LiveHealth Online doctor will assess your condition, and work with you to make a treatment plan – this can include sending in prescriptions to your desired pharmacy if you need them!
Q: Can LiveHealth Online connect me to mental health professionals?
A: Yes! You can make an appointment with a licensed psychologist or therapist for a 45-minute session at livehealthonline.com or by calling 1-844-784-8409 from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. Usually within four days or less, LiveHealth Online gets you connected to a professional who can provide support if you’re feeling anxious or stressed, are dealing with grief or just need some additional support. Cost varies depending on your coverage, but will be similar to what you would usually pay for an office visit.
Q: Is this resource just for me, the employee?
A: Nope! Both you and your eligible dependents can use the LiveHealth Online benefit.
Q; Are there any other online health resources available at Ascend?
