Good news for new CDL-A holders: No experience is no problem for getting started on Ascend's regional company van division. With your valid Class A CDL, Ascend can get you ready to roll with our comprehensive training program (four weeks or more depending on skill level).

First, let’s talk money! Ascend starts our company drivers at 67.5 cent per mile based on experience and performance. Last year, our average company driver grossed $71,000 - $75,000+ and our top 10% drivers grossed $76,000 - $82,000.
To earn good money, your wheels have to be turning, so Ascend makes sure you get the miles you need to succeed. But, just in case, we pay $1,000 weekly minimum pay and excellent accessorial pay including $30 for each additional pick up, $60 for each additional stop, $20 per hour detention pay, $150 breakdown pay, and $100 layover pay (during week) or $150 (weekends).
Don’t forget! We pay $1,000 orientation pay, $150 per each of the seven paid holidays (paid the same as our office staff!), and $25-$75 for clean DOT inspections depending on level.
Getting our drivers home is important to us because we want them to make the memories that matter. Ascend drivers can count on stable, consistent, SCHEDULED home time! If you leave out Sunday, you’ll be home Friday or leave out Monday and be home Saturday. PLUS, we run regional Midwest & Southeast services only - NO NY or West Coast!
