ASCEND IS HAULIN’ FOR THE HOLIDAYS, MAKING CHARITABLE DONATION FOR TN PRESCHOOLERS

Ascend has partnered with the Tennessee Trucking Association (TTA) to participate in Haulin’ for the Holidays!

For the last three years, TTA has worked with local charities to give gifts to underprivileged children and teens in Tennessee. Ascend is an ‘Angel Sponsor’ this year, so we are donating directly to TTA’s work with Hands Up Jackson to ensure preschoolers in our hometown of Jackson, Tenn. have a happy holiday.

Hands Up Jackson is a preschool that serves low-income children ages 2.5 to 5. The 2-year program utilizes hands-on learning to teach critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. Ascend is helping to supply STEM toys and school supplies for students to use in the classroom.

Nick Wakefield, our Chief People Officer, always says “it’s about doing the right things daily.” And this holiday season, we’re excited for another opportunity to do the right thing!

Last year, Haulin’ for the Holidays was able to raise over $12,500 for toy donations through Amazon wish lists, and even more through toy donation drop-offs. We hope that our combined efforts can give a few more Tenn. kids the joy-filled Christmas they deserve.
